OSLOP. Join us on a unique musical and dance-filled journey when the performance 'Circumfrequencies' takes Riksscena. Alf Hulbækmo and Ådne Kolbjørnshus, together with talented musicians and the next generation of dancers, have created a tribute to the region, tradition and the joy of moving to music.
'Circumfrequency' was created as a commissioned work for the Røros Folk Festival in 2025. The name plays on Circumference – the historical circle with a radius of 45 kilometers that was once drawn around the Røros Copper Works. This area defined the privileged area of the work, and today marks the boundaries of the world heritage. Through music and dance, the performance explores what it means to belong within this circle, and how the traditions from here have left their mark far beyond the borders.
FolkRekrutt Røros is a project with the goal of recruiting more people to folk dance and folk music, and providing new and exciting challenges and activity offers to those who are already involved. In Circumfrequency, twelve young dance talents were able to help create a dance performance together with choreographer Ådne Kolbjørnshus.
