Riksscena is both a producer and presenter, as well as a professional centre for folk musicians and folk dancers, where new ideas and opportunities are collectively developed and explored. Since 2014, we have realized our ambition to be an arena for developing stage-related skills through a series of gatherings under the banner Folk Sessions. The programme primarily focuses on performers in the early stages of their careers, who, with the guidance of experienced artists, explore the professionalization of the field. The standard format consists of three three-day gatherings followed by a final presentation/performance for an audience.
