Welcome to 'Circus Unexpected'! Today it is me, the host of LilleRiksen Vegar Vårdal, who is allowed to show off my brand new performance. And I hope you will join me in Sirkus Uventa? Here you will get to know the tightrope walker, the clown, the elephant – and last, nut not least: the circus director. Before the performance you will join Mette to make a short film about what you think is in Sirkus Uventa, and afterwards you will help decide what will be performed in Sirkus Uventa. I have brought a lot of instruments and you will get to decide what will be played, and how I will play it.

Vegar Vårdal is a musician and dancer and has 30 years of experience with Den Kulturelle Skolesekken. The musical starting point is my improvisations, as presented on the album Uventa which was released in December 2025.

Mette Vårdal is a historian, animator and graphic designer, and has made short music videos for this performance. They are animated films with scenes from a circus, inspired by Rezo Gabriadze's famous puppet theater. The characters from these music videos, the director, the elephant, the clown and the tightrope walker, are repeated in the performance Sirkus Uventa.
